Mr. Al Muhaidib is the Chairman of A.K. Al-Muhaidib & Sons Group of Companies, a conglomerate with diversified business interests in Food Products, Retail, Building Materials, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Banking and Finance. The Group sales revenue is over USD9bn and it has a work force of 8,000 employees. It is headquartered in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Mr. Al Muhaidib is the Chairman of the Savola Group, a publicly-listed market
leader in sugar & edible oil, dairy products and fast food chains. It also owns the
largest grocery retail chain in KSA. It has sales of over USD7bn with a work force of 17,000 employees. He is also the Chairman of two real estate companies, Al-Oula Development Company and Rafal Real Estate Development Company.
Mr. Al Muhaidib is a member of the Board of the Saudi Arabian British Bank (SABB), a publicly listed company formed in association with the HSBC Group. He is a member of the Board of ACWA Power International and ACWA Power holdings, a lead developer, owner and operator of independent water and power projects. Mr. Al Muhaidib sits on the Boards of Almarai Company, a publicly listed company with a market capitalisation of over USD6bn, which is the largest integrated dairy foods company in the world. He is also a Director on the Board of the National Industrialization Company (TASNEE) which erects, manages,
operates and owns petrochemical, chemical, plastic, engineering and metal
projects and provides industrial services.
Mr. Al Muhaidib was awarded an honorary Doctorate from the University of Tokyo in 2012 for his contributions to the Middle East.
Mr. Al Muhaidib is passionate about tracing family connections and linking past and future generations. He is involved in various philanthropic causes, including being on the Boards of the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research and the Prince Fahad Bin Salman Charity Association.
